So first an explanation then the news.
So for many years Diamond Comics was the only Distributor of comics to comic book shops. 30 years ago there were more. In 2020 two new distros came up Penguin Random house and Lunar. Both took Diamonds top contracts Marvel, DC, Image and others.
This week Diamond declared Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Read more about that here. https://www.theverge.com/2025/1/14/24343544/diamond-comics-bankruptcy
Okay, now what does this mean for ComicsBurgh and other smaller publisher. At the moment I have no idea. Diamond has operating capital yet has shifted payments they owe into Bankruptcy proceedings. If Smaller Publisher are owed money, this could hurt them moving forward. This is also an opening to erode trust. The future is unknown at the moment. So we are going to shift as much as we can. Tomorrow I will be on for the normal ComicsBurgh on The Edge Show.

I have other topics planned, yet will give some brief data on Diamond.
Coming up on February 1st will be the first of many ComicsBurgh showcase shows. This will be where we talk about what the future looks like.
